If I were a Climate Change Chiseler (the less desirable C3)

If I were a Climate Change Chiseler (the less desirable C3)

Here’s what I’d do if I were Al Gore or his ilk looking to make even more money off the climate change money grab:

First I would select a destination town or city that is, or has become, fairly exclusive to wealthy tourists. Aspen, Colorado, for instance.

After selecting Aspen, I would use my net worth of $300+ million coupled with my clout as a climate change power broker to enlist a cadre high octane of green energy lobbyists. I’d also hire a marketing firm to lay the groundwork for converting Aspen into a green energy oasis in a country that belches carbon into the atmosphere at a historically unprecedented level. I’d have them arrange billboards, radio spots, commercials, and the like. All ads would focus on guilt, hysteria, and the heroic effort to mitigate climate change starting with one of the most beautiful and exclusive towns on planet earth. “We owe it to the planet, the children, and ourselves!” (That’s just off the top of my head.) Of course, the marketing firm would pay Greta Thunberg to make multiple media/publicity appearances in Aspen and around Colorado, pushing the agenda and holding local politicians accountable for instituting green policies within Aspen.

The marketing firm would target wealthy white upper and upper-middle class travelers who often visit Aspen. There would be a flashy website, a social media campaign, mailing lists, and exclusive memberships. Once the groundswell of support for making the town a green energy oasis reached a reasonable fever pitch, the lobbyists would descend into Aspen, Colorado. My lobbyists would begin plying local officials with all manner of incentives (read: bribes) with the ultimate goal being to transition the town of Aspen into the aforementioned green energy oasis.

There would be several proposals on the table. The first among many would be a town ordnance that any non-resident will not drive combustion engine vehicles within the municipality and/or county. For residents, private combustion engine vehicles will be phased out over a seven-year period. Fines for violating these laws would be $500 a day (a hefty source of income for the municipality/county).

Here’s where it gets interesting. While the laws are being enacted, I would invest in or start up a specific rental car company that exclusively rents electric vehicles (high and low end). These rental car companies would initially operate out of Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, Denver International Airport, and the Colorado Springs International Airport (because down the line, we’ll be pushing other Colorado towns/counties in Colorado to adopt similar ordinances to Aspen). Don’t worry about snowy roads – the Ford Lightning comes standard with four-wheel drive.

I’d also invest in or start up charging station construction companies to operate in Aspen as well as along the route to and from Colorado Springs and Denver. I’d manage these stations once operational.

You get the idea.

The opportunities are endless once I have the local politicians in my pocket.

Simply put, I would engineer demand, then invest in meeting that artificial demand. This is the way the entire scam works. This is happening every day.
